Karen Carruthers Elected Vice President of The Conference

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Karen Carruthers was elected Vice President of The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards at the 120th Annual Meeting. She was also re-elected to serve her second term as District 8 Director.

The event was held from February 27-29, 2024, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Ms. Carruthers was elected to The Conference Board of Directors in 2021 and previously served as the Secretary/Treasurer of The Conference. As District 8 Director, she represents Alaska, Alberta, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Saskatchewan, Washington, and Wyoming.

She is a past president of the North American Death Care Regulators Association, former Chair of the Association of Executives of Funeral Service Boards, and was a member of The Conference Model Disposition Committee.

The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards is headquartered in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
