Lacyn Barton Elected as Secretary/Treasurer of The Conference

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Lacyn Barton was elected Secretary/Treasurer of The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards at the 120th Annual Meeting. The event was held from February 27-29, 2024, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Barton was elected to The Conference Board of Directors in 2023.

As District 2 Director, she represents Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. She also currently serves on the Virginia Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers. Barton has an MBA in Health Care Management, is a licensed funeral director and embalmer, certified Protocol Officer, Celebrant, and crematory operator.

A citizen of the Chickasaw Nation, she also serves on several boards with missions to advance equity for Native Americans, American service veterans, and the disabled. She currently supports more than 300 funeral homes in North America and Puerto Rico.

The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards is headquartered in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
