FAYETTEVILLE, AR — The International Conference of Funeral Service Examining Boards (The Conference) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Evely to its Board of Directors.
Evely serves as Chair of the Department of Applied Health Sciences and Director of the Mortuary Science Program at Wayne State University. A licensed funeral director and member of the Michigan Board of Examiners in Mortuary Science, he brings extensive academic and professional experience to the organization.
In addition to his leadership in funeral service education and regulation, Evely also serves in the United States Coast Guard.
His current term on The Conference Board of Directors will expire in 2026. He will be eligible to be elected to serve a full three-year term at the 122nd Annual Meeting in Louisville, Kentucky. For more information on the upcoming Annual Meeting, please visit our Annual Meeting Homepage.
