MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Past President and District 9 Director Jennifer Kandt was recognized for her outstanding contributions and excellent leadership during the 120th Annual Meeting in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
She retired from The Conference Board of Directors in 2023 after a storied career spanning more than 15 years in government regulation. Kandt spent nine years as the Executive Director of the Nevada Funeral and Cemetery Services Board, where she played a pivotal role in regulatory oversight.
“The success of The Conference in promoting high standards is a team effort and Jennifer is one of the strongest voices for public protection in the regulatory arena,” ICFSEB Executive Director Dalene Paull said. “She has been an integral part of our board for the past six years, serving in a leadership role on the executive committee for four of those. We wish her well in retirement and will be forever grateful for the time she spent volunteering with The Conference.
Her passion for advocacy and service extended beyond the funeral service industry to social justice causes. Kandt solidified her legacy by regulating court-mandated domestic violence intervention education and spearheading the implementation of Nevada’s statewide victim notification system.
The Conference is eternally appreciative of her tireless work and dedication to the greater good. Her profound impact on the organization and beyond is immeasurable.
