Standard Setting Committee - Volunteer Opportunity
Ever wondered how the passing standard is set for the NBE? Join us as part of the Standard Setting Committee and be part of the conversation! The Job/Task Analysis nationwide results are in and the 2023 NBE content outlines are final. The next step is calibrating the passing score as it relates to the knowledge, skills and abilities required for entry level funeral service professionals. If you are a dually licensed funeral service practitioner (funeral directing and embalming) we invite you to apply for this unique opportunity.
Applications will be accepted through 12:00 p.m. CT, August 24, 2022. The ideal committee member has passed both the Arts and Sciences sections of the NBE, is currently licensed and practicing as a Funeral Director and Embalmer, with licenses in good standing. No experience in exam development necessary as training is provided.
