The Harvey Leavitt, III scholarship is open to first-time NBE candidates that will be eligible to take the NBE Arts and Sciences exams prior to March 1, 2025, (limit one entry per candidate). Candidates must be a graduate of, or graduating in 2024 from, an ABFSE-accredited mortuary science program. Candidates completing a certificate program with an affiliate program are NOT eligible to apply.

Five recipients will receive one complimentary NBE registration (Arts & Sciences – a $570 value), which must be used within one year from the notification of the award.

The scholarship entry form must be submitted directly by the candidate by 12:00 pm CDT on February 16, 2024. Please note that no refunds will be given if the recipient has already paid and/or sat for the exam prior to receiving the scholarship. The next scholarship opportunity will be available in the fall of 2024.
